Roy P. Wilson, a graduate in architecture of McGill University, designed this house with an adjoining studio at 1 Woodland Avenue in 1951. He lived and worked in his beloved house until his 101st birthday. His house was abandoned for many years after his death and was demolished in 2010. 1 Woodland Avenue has been replaced by 497 Lakeshore.
